Rock La Cauze 2024: Festival Picks

The biggest music event in Centre-du-Québec is coming to Victo! If you love classic punk, rock, ska, and metal, head to Terre-des-Jeunes Park in Victo from August 8 to 10!

With bands like Sum 41, Rise Against, Billy Talent, and Sublime with Rome on the lineup, you know it’s going to be amazing! To give you an idea, 10,000 tickets were sold last year, and attendees came from far and wide.

Rock la Cauze is a huge party that we look forward to every year. Expect thousands of watts of sound, dazzling lights, food trucks, and plenty of great people. If you haven’t experienced Rock la Cauze yet, this summer is the perfect time.

With this year’s lineup, we recommend getting your tickets online now! In the meantime, check out our festival picks below.

Les Shirley

Described as a kick-ass femme rock power trio, Les Shirley know what it takes to amp things up to full volume and show the crowd a good time. Hailing from Montreal, the group have brought their punk rock culture to the stage with the likes of Foo Fighters to recent Polaris Prize nominee NOBRO. They are one of those acts that you’ll want to catch so you can say you discovered them first before they become a stadium-level band.

PUP

PUP has undoubtedly exploded over the past few years, playing bigger shows and venues every tour. Yet, they still bring their underground punk rock ethos to the forefront; turning every stage into a DIY house party. But PUP are no amateurs, they know how to command a room and captivates their audience to ensure everyone is having a good time. There will most likely be crowd surfing and best believe we will be yelling along when lead vocalist Stefan bursts into “If This Tour Doesn’t Kill You”: (“You think you're so original. Why can't we just get along? I can't wait for your funeral”).

SUM 41

Rock La Cauze has brought the early 2000’s nostalgia with this year’s lineup, adding Canadian punk rock legends Sum 41 to the roster. This will be one of their final shows as the band, with plans to bid farewell after their Canadian run of shows in 2025. There is bound to be some new songs in the set from their forthcoming album Heaven :x: Hell, which will be a bittersweet send off amongst their discography of hits like “Fat Lip”, “Still Waiting”, and “In Too Deep”.
