Surprise Baby Releases Captivating Debut Single “Poison The Well”

Los Angeles duo Surprise Baby have shared their debut single, “Poison The Well”, an eerily haunting track that leaves us wanting more.
With a bass line that ebbs and flows alongside complimentary synth work, musician and songwriter Sarsten Noice and producer Claire Morison have created a sound they describe as “rock and roll cowboy meets indie pop”.
Originally from Northwest Montana, Surprise Baby have masterfully blended the roots of their hometown with a range of genres and sounds that result in an atmospheric, contemplative track that audiences can resonate with.
“At the time, I was involved with someone who was in another relationship and we were both a part of a tight knit community (“the well”). At a certain point, it appeared to me that the toxicity of the relationship had permeated our ability to operate in our social scene without causing disruption to our lives and those around us. I was faced with confronting the morality of my own actions as well as some heartbreak because I knew I was never going to be able to fully be with this person”, Noice confides.
Although they have yet to share further details, it’s confirmed that this is the first single from Surprise Baby’s upcoming EP and solidifies them as a one-to-watch band for 2023. Check out the track below.
